ROXROXSalon
Calendar & rotas

Every chair, side by side.

One column per stylist, a booking you can drag to a new slot, and a rota that knows about breaks, leave and the day you close early.

The whole floor on one screen

A column per stylist, the day running down the side, and every booking where you would expect it. Move somebody to a different time or a different stylist by dragging them there. On a phone at the back-wash it is the same day, laid out for a smaller screen.

Rotas that describe a real week

A rota is not just start and finish. It carries the break in the middle, the days somebody does not work, and the leave they have booked — and availability is worked out from all of it, so the booking page cannot offer a slot in the middle of somebody's lunch.

Chairs and rooms, if you need them

Where the constraint is not the stylist but the room — a treatment room, a backwash, a colour bar — those are bookable resources in their own right, so two appointments cannot land in the same space.

Questions about this

Does it work on a small screen?

Yes. The same day lays out for a phone, which is what most stylists are looking at between clients rather than the full floor view at the desk.

Does the calendar update if somebody books while I am looking at it?

Yes. Changes are pushed to open calendars rather than waiting for a refresh, so the desk and the phone in the salon are not looking at two different days.

How do I close for a bank holiday?

Holidays and one-off exceptions are set against the salon's hours, separately from the regular week, so closing on a Monday in May does not mean editing every Monday.
